Dolphin Club

Daily Activities

ACTIVITIES

Snack and Activity Calendars which are posted monthly, will let you know what activities and snacks are planned for each day. In addition to planned activities there will be time for outdoor play, indoor art, homework time, games and fun with friends. Activities are age-appropriate and will vary depending on the children’s interests.

KINDERGARTEN AND TK
Our TK/Kindergarten program is varied and all crafts and activities are age-appropriate for this group. TK and Kindergarten students have their own Dolphin Club room connected to the main classroom, as well as their own play structure area at Dolphin Club.

Note to TK and Kindergarten Parents: TK and Kindergarten students attending Dolphin Club will be picked up by Dolphin Club staff after class at a central location outside the main kindergarten area and we will walk them over to Dolphin Club. TK and Kinder parents will be provided with a Dolphin Club backpack tag. If your child is attending Dolphin Club that day, please be sure to tag their backpack so teachers know whether to send them to Dolphin Club after school. This is especially important in the first few weeks of school as children and teachers get used to their new routines.  If your older student has permission to check out a younger sibling and bring them to carpool for pick up, please let us know and we will make those arrangements.

HOMEWORK

A Homework Room is available every day before and after school. An effort is made to create a space that is quiet and comfortable for homework. Any student who is disruptive or distracting others will be not be allowed to participate. The impetus to use this time for homework must come from the student and from understandings they have reached with their parents.

SNACK

Snacks will be served at 3:00 and 5:00 daily. All Dolphin Club snacks are nut free and we try our best to purchase foods that are not made in facilities that process nuts. If your child has special dietary needs, please let us know so we can accommodate, or you are welcome to pack an acceptable snack for them to enjoy.
